British coach Des Bulpin has been named as the new manager of the Philippines.
Bulpin has been handed an initial one-year deal as he looks to make an impact on the Far East nation.
The Philippines are looking for an upturn in fortunes, having decided not to even try and qualify for the 2010 World Cup finals.
Bulpin, who was previously coach at Tottenham, QPR, Leicester and Stockport, has now taken on the job.
He has previous international experience having spent time working with Uzbekistan.
Bulpin is not the only Brit in charge of a national side in the region, with Bryan Robson recently succeeding Peter Reid as Thailand boss.
