Inter Milan defender Lucio is hopeful of staying at the San Siro beyond next season, according to his agent.
The 33-year-old's representative, Alessandro Lucci, has revealed that the Brazilian is keen to stay at the club, even if it is not in a playing capacity.
Lucio played an integral role in the club's historic treble-winning campaign in 2009-10 after joining from Bayern Munich.
And the centre-back admits he would like to carry on playing, despite his current contract with the Italian giants expiring next June.
With the club currently without a head coach, president Massimo Moratti is reportedly keen for the experienced star to remain with the Nerazzurri.
Agent Lucci told Sky Italia: "His will is to remain at the club, but he wants to see what developments occur first (in relation to the head coach).
"We have opened negotiations for the renewal of his contract but Lucio is a player who is liked by many clubs.
"In any case, he's an Inter player and we will try to understand what develops at Inter."
