Juan Sebastian Veron could follow in his father's footsteps by joining Greek giants Panathinaikos.
Veron snr played for Panathinaikos in the 1970s and has revealed his son has been offered a deal to join the club next season.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder is currently back in Argentina with Estudiantes, but is considering his future.
And his father - Juan Ramon Veron - has suggested that the 32-year-old would be keen to link up with Panathinaikos in the summer.
"I am in contact with the people of Panathinaikos about Juan Sebastian," Veron snr told daily sports paper Prasini.
"I speak with them by phone and I can say that the negotiations are in progress.
"It's true that we received an offer from Panathinaikos a few days ago. I speak very often with the technical director of Panathinaikos.
"Me and my son, we chew over their offer. My son is a free agent right after the end of the Clausura, in June.
"I can say that Juan Sebastian would love to play football in a Panathinaikos shirt. I have spoken with him many times about Greece and he told me that, if some day he is going to play football there, it would only be for Panathinaikos.
"I know that he wants to come back to Europe to play in the European competitions."
