Huddersfield Town are closing on the captures of Joe Lolley and Sondre Tronstad.
Striker Lolley, 21, is due to arrive from non-league Kidderminster, whilst Tronstad, an 18-year-old midfielder, is due to sign from Norwegian outfit Start.
Lolley is set to play his final game for Harriers in their FA Cup third round replay with Peterborough on Tuesday, after which he is expected to put pen-to-paper.
"We're in discussions and feel we're very close to concluding a deal," Huddersfield chairman Dean Hoyle confirmed.
"He's a very exciting prospect."
Tronstad is also expected to finalise his move to West Yorkshire this week, having impressed on trial earlier in the season.
"I have got an exciting time ahead of me and I look forward to getting started. Huddersfield is a good club," said Tronstad.
"The goal is to make my debut for the first team. I am prepared that it will be very tough. But the chances are also big. I need to focus on what I do and work hard every day."
