Henrik Larsson is yet to sign a renewed contract with Helsingborgs although he looks set to remain with the club for another season.
The 36-year-old has provisionally agreed terms with the Swedish side but has yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal.
Insisting that money is not the object, Larsson admits a deal has been reached verbally but that nothing is in writing.
Keen to cement his relationship with the fans, the Swedish striker stressed his desire to tie up any loose ends.
"We are not trying to cheat each other," he said. "But I would like to see the offer given to me on paper."
"I have been stung in the past when it comes to contracts and so, understandably, I would like to see the deal on paper before I commit to anything."
