Marco van Basten is hopeful Arjen Robben will be fit for Holland's final group game against Romania.
Robben sat out the Oranje's 3-0 win over Italy on Monday evening with a groin injury and was not expected to be available until the knockout stages.
He will miss Friday's fixture with France, but the Real Madrid winger could return for next Tuesday's clash with Romania in Berne.
"It looks like it is going the right way with Arjen," Dutch coach Van Basten told reporters.
"In the most positive scenario, he can play in the game against the Romanians."
But Van Basten is less upbeat about Mario Melchiot's fitness, with the full-back struggling with a groin problem.
Van Basten added: "The recovery of Mario has stagnated a little bit."
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has also been receiving treatment after taking a kick to the calf in training on Tuesday, but the striker's injury is not serious.
