Florent Malouda insists he will not 'take any risks' in his return from injury ahead of France's Euro 2008 qualifier with Ukraine.
The winger strained his knee in Chelsea's recent UEFA Champions League clash with Schalke and he is now a doubt for the match against the Ukraine on 21st November.
Malouda admits he is definitely out of France's friendly fixture against Morocco on Friday, but he hopes to be fit to face Ukraine.
However, if Italy defeat Scotland on 17th November France will already be assured a place in next summer's finals and Malouda says if that is the case he will not play against Ukraine.
"I will not be able to play against Morocco," Malouda said in L'Equipe.
"But the most important match is the second one against Ukraine. I keep hope to have recovered.
"However, if we are already qualified I won't take any risk."
