Yossi Benayoun is targeting hero status in England, by guiding his national side to a Euro 2008 qualifying win over Russia.
The Liverpool midfielder and Israeli captain is fully aware of the connotations of a win over Guus Hiddink's side next month, and believes that if he can aid England's qualifying cause, the nation's fans will love him and Chelsea's Tal Ben Haim.
A victory for Russia against Benayoun's side could dump England out of the competition, but he says he and his team-mates are looking for a victory on 17th November.
Benayoun told the Daily Mirror: "We will do our best for England, don't worry.
"If we win, it will only be a good thing for me and Tal Ben Haim. England will love us."
