Former Blackburn team-mates to clash

Craig Bellamy knows he will be in for a tough evening when he comes up against Vratislav Gresko as Wales tackle Slovakia. The former Blackburn team-mates will be in direct competition in the Euro 2008 qualifier in Trnava. Defender Gresko suffered a serious knee injury during his time at Ewood Park which kept him out of action for 18 months.

Attitude

West Ham striker Bellamy, no stranger to major injury worries earlier in his career, is happy to see the Bayer Leverkusen player back in action. He said: "My memories of him were that he could leave a mark on you in training, but it will be good to see him again. "He always had the right attitude while he was out injured, but it took a long time for him and I am just glad he is able to play again."
Easter
Meanwhile, Wycombe striker Jermaine Easter has been handed a late recall to the squad to face Slovakia as cover for Bellamy. "It's a great opportunity and I'll be doing all I can to stay," he said. "Being in the Welsh squad means a lot to me. I've got three caps and it means everything to me to represent my country."
