Tottenham Hotspur have told fans to look out for travel advice ahead of the game against Panathinaikos following the events in Athens this week.
Protests against austerity measures have turned violent in the Greek capital and it was reported on Thursday that police had to fire tear gas to disperse the crowds after demonstrators had taken to the streets with petrol bombs.
Spurs are keeping tabs on what is happening and supporters have been made aware that information will be available closer to kick-off next Thursday for anyone planning to make the trip.
"The club publishes travel advice to fans on its website ahead of every European away trip," said a spokesman.
"We are monitoring the events in Athens and will update supporters of the situation closer to their date of travel."
Tottenham played out a goalless draw with Lazio at White Hart Lane in their Group J opener, while Panathinaikos were beaten 3-0 by Maribor.
