Pep Guardiola insists he was happy with Bayern Munich's first-half display against Barcelona and feels the final 3-0 scoreline was "harsh".
Guardiola sprung a surprise with his tactics in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg in the Nou Camp, opting to play with a back three for the first 20 minutes before switching to a back four.
Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer made a number of fine saves to keep the scores level before the break, but late goals from Lionel Messi and Neymar has put Barcelona in the driving seat ahead of Tuesday's second leg.
"The result is a bit harsh. We wanted to control and play our own game," Guardiola said after the match.
"Against Barca you can defend deep or play to control. Our control in the first half worked pretty well, especially in the final 15 minutes.
"After the 1-0 it sapped our confidence a bit, the last goal is a shame because at 2-0 we had a chance but 3-0 is difficult."
Meanwhile, Barcelona manager Luis Enrique insists the result was "perfect" for his side, but warned his players they cannot be complacent in Germany next week.
"It is a perfect result," he said.
"It brings us closer to a possible final, but we have to confirm it in the second leg, which will without doubt be a hard game.
"I am very satisfied with how we played and the result against such a strong team. We had a lot of chances and they had very few."
