Arsene Wenger has urged caution after the Champions League draw saw Arsenal branded the favourites to progress.
Arsenal were drawn in group B with Schalke, Olympiakos and Montpellier as they look to qualify for the last 16 for the 12th successive year.
They will start their campaign against Montpellier on September 18th in a game that will see Olivier Giroud face the side who he left for the Gunners in the summer.
But despite being made instant favourites, Wenger will not be taking anything for granted, telling Arsenal Player: "Every team is a special occasion, it's always a cup game and you want to be serious and have a good start.
"We will be favourites because we have the biggest experience in this group, but we know by experience that the Champions League is the Champions League.
"We start in Montpellier, which is a difficult place with a lot of passion.
"Many players do not know the passionate atmosphere in the South of France and will be surprised - but we have the experience.
"Schalke are always strong. They are the most popular team in the league with the biggest support, a massive support.
"Olympiakos have beaten us convincingly over there and we have underestimated them a little bit previously. We only just won last season, so we know that they are a good side."
