Linfield have it all to do in their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie with AEL after slipping to a 3-0 defeat in Limassol.

A forgettable evening at the Tsirion Stadium has left the Northern Irish outfit with a mountain to climb in the second leg.

Vouho gave the hosts a 16th-minute lead on Wednesday before skipper Edwin Ouon doubled their advantage after 29 minutes.

Former Charlton striker Chris Dickson sealed the win nine minutes into the second half

The return leg will take place next Wednesday at Windsor Park in Belfast.

Late drama

Elsewhere, BATE Borisov required two stoppage-time goals to edge past Vardor 3-2 and keep their dreams of a return to the group stages alive.

Dinamo Zagreb are a side with plenty of European pedigree, but they could only muster a 1-1 draw on the road at Bulgarian side Ludogorets.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Molde fared considerably better as they swept past Ventspils 3-0 on home soil.

Maribor hammered Zeljeznicar 4-1 to suggest their tie is all but over, while Polish outfit Slask picked up an impressive 2-0 victory away in Montenegro against Buducnost.
