Argetine playmaker could still leave, but continues to give his all

Ligue 1 outfit Marseille are confident Lucho Gonzalez will remain professional amid transfer speculation. The Argentine midfielder has spent much of the summer being linked with an imminent exit. He has hinted that he wants out of Stade Velodrome, with a move to Italy widely touted. Roma are reported to still be keen on doing a deal, as the transfer window starts to edge towards a conclusion. Marseille will be reluctant sellers, as they still rate Lucho highly, but they would be willing to do business at the right price.

Relationship

It is understood that an offer of around €8million would be enough to force the French club's hand. For now, though, Lucho remains with Didier Deschamps' side and they hope he will continue to churn out performances like he did during a 2-2 draw with Sochaux on Saturday. Marseille chairman Vincent Labrune told L'Equipe: "The performance he put in on Saturday proved that his relationship with the club is not that bad. "He is acting very professionally and will continue to do so."
