Gianni Zuiverloon wants West Brom to cut out giving away silly goals in a bid to improve their league position.
Only two other Premier League teams have conceded fewer goals than the promoted club, who currently lie bottom of the table.
The Baggies have taken on the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United lately, but Dutch stopper Zuiverloon feels they have often been their own worst enemy.
West Brom take on the likes of Stoke, Wigan and Sunderland in the coming weeks and Zuiverloon believes it is those games that they need to secure points from.
Cut out mistakes
"We have to prepare like any other game and stop giving away stupid goals," he told the club's official website. "We need to be stronger as a back-four.
"Losing 3-0 at Liverpool was a bit hard on us on Saturday. We played well for the first 20 minutes but after that they got chances and scored twice.
"If you're 2-0 behind at Anfield then you're out of it. We still played okay in the second half but the third goal was very demoralising.
"We played well against Manchester United and Liverpool but they are top teams. We have to make sure we get points from the other sides."
