Michael Mols has confirmed that he will call time on his career at the end of the season.
The 36-year-old has had a distinguished career and has performed with credit for ADO Den Haag for the last couple of seasons.
He has struggled with knee injuries during his career and it would appear that the former Rangers striker feels the time has come to bow out.
Mols had made a similar statement at this time last season, but he claims there will be no change of heart this time around.
"It's definitive," he told the club's website. "Last year I was talked into playing on, but this time I am a year older and wiser.
"Nothing will make me change my mind.
"I am not quitting because of little injuries, I have looked after my body well.
"After 17 years in professional football, I have had enough."
