Vreven back in Holland

Stijn Vreven has secured a return to the Eredivisie after signing a deal with ADO.

Stijn Vreven has secured a return to the Eredivisie after signing a deal with ADO Den Haag.

The full back returns to Holland following a spell in Cyprus, having joined Omonia Nicosia in January.

Vreven felt he had played his last game in the Eredivisie, having moved on from Vitesse Arnhem, but is delighted to return to Holland.

"I am happy that I get the chance via ADO Den Haag so I can finish my career on a high level in the Dutch Eredivisie," the 32-year-old told ADO's website. "ADO are a club that suit me."

Vreven will get the chance to play alongside former Rangers man Michael Mols after he signed a contract extension with the club.

He could also be playing in the same team as Stefan Postma, with reports suggesting the former Aston Villa keeper will sign a deal this week.
