ADO hammer RBC

ADO Den Haag handed out a 5-1 mauling to RBC Roosendaal.

ADO Den Haag went some way to easing their relegation fears with a thumping 5-1 win over RBC Roosendaal.

The two sides came into the game locked together near the foot of the table on seven points, but it was ADO who came away from the game the happier.

ADO never looked back from the moment they moved ahead on 10 minutes courtesy of a strike from Geert den Ouden, which was followed shortly afterwards by the dismissal of RBC's Pius Ikedia.

Den Ouden took his personal tally to two on 20 minutes to hand ADO a cushion.

Cedric van der Gun sent the Zuiderpark crowd into raptures when netting a third on the half hour, although RBC went into the interval with some hope as Jesper Hakansson cut the deficit before the break.

It proved to be false hope, however, as second-half strikes from Sjaak Polak and Rick Platvoet sent RBC home with their tails between their legs.
