PSV Eindhoven and Vitesse Arnhem both won to create a three-way tie with Ajax at the top of the Eredivisie.

Ajax play on Sunday with the chance to restore their three-point lead, but the chasing pair did everything in their power on Saturday.

PSV were 3-1 winners at bottom club Willem II.

Mark van Bommel opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and despite Jordens Peters equalising in the 54th minute, the visitors wrapped up the points thanks to Ola Toivonen (76) and Timothy Derijck (82).

Vitesse continued their fine form with a 3-0 defeat of NAC Breda.

The prolific Wilfried Bony scored the first and last goals, with one in each half, and Renato Ibarra netted the second in the 50th minute.

FC Twente were 2-0 winners over Roda JC, with Luc Castaignos (44) and Nacer Chadli (56) on target.

Two of the sides hovering above the relegation places, PEC Zwolle and RKC Waalwijk, drew 1-1.

Florian Jozefzoon (seven) put RKC in front after seven minutes but Youness Mokhtar restored parity in the 21st minute.
