High-flying Vitesse Arnhem saw their six-game unbeaten run ended at NAC Breda, Heerenveen claimed a hard-fought win, while RKC held Groningen and Feyenoord lost at home.

NAC Breda were thankful to Donny Gorter as he converted his spot-kick in first-half injury time after Marcus Pedersen felled Anthony Lurling in the area to overcome Vitesse Arnhem.
There was a hint of controversy surrounding NAC's penalty however, after referee Pieter Vink had initially indicated there would be no injury time to the anger of Vitesse's players.
Heerenveen climbed a few spots up the table after defeating Roda at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion thanks to goals either side of the break through Oussama Assaidi and Filip Djuricic. Jagos Vukovic's reply turned out only to be a consolation for the hosts.
Salvage
FC Groningen got a late equaliser from Petter Andersson to salvage a point from their visit to RKC Waalwijk, leaving them in the final European play-off place.
RKC had led most of the match after Sander Duits opened the scoring in the 17th minute. But Andersson struck with 17 minutes left to grab a point.
In the late game, Feyenoord failed to bounce back from last weekend's 6-0 thumping at Groningen with a 1-0 home defeat against NEC Nijmegen.
Nick van der Velden's seventh-minute goal was enough for the visitors at De Kuip and the three points moved NEC away from the relegation zone.
