Hamburg general manager Frank Arnesen claims that two clubs in England want to sign Guy Demel and that a deal could be completed by the end of the week.

The Ivory Coast international was reportedly close to a move to Sunderland in January 2010, but a transfer to the Stadium of Light failed to materialise.

Defender Demel is under contract at imtech Arena until next summer, however, he could leave Germany in the next few days.

Arnesen told BILD: "There are a couple of clubs in England that are keen on Guy. A transfer of Guy may become a fact by Sunday."

Meanwhile, Hamburg have agreed a deal for former Newcastle flop David Rozehnal to join French champions Lille on a three-year deal after spending last season on loan with the Ligue 1 club.

The deal is thought to be worth €504,500 (£450,000) and Arnesen said: "David Rozehnal is finally joining Lille.

"This deal is a good thing for everyone involved. It's good for us and good for David.

"We do not receive that much money in transfer fee for David, of course, but we appreciate every Euro in that respect."

Former Brazil international Alex Silva and Senegal midfielder Mickael Tavares also appear set to leave Hamburg this summer.

Alex is reportedly wanted in his homeland and he spent time on loan at Sao Paulo last season, while Tavares, who is on a free transfer, played 13 matches for Middlesbrough in 2010/11.

Arnesen said: "Luiz Traveria, the player agent of Alex Silva, was just over here (Germany) for talks.

"The talks progressed well and everyone is now looking for a good solution. To give Alex Silva another loan spell at any club would not be what we prefer, we would like to sell him."

Arnesen added: "Mickael Tavares has been given information. He is able to leave us this summer on a free transfer."
