RKC consider loaning striker

RKC Waalwijk are aiming to send Nick van der Velden out on loan this month.

RKC Waalwijk are aiming to send striker Nick van der Velden out on loan this month.

The 25-year-old has returned to training with Mark Wotte's side after a three-month spell on the sidelines with a meniscus injury in his knee.

"Due to injuries, Nick has had some bad luck and because there is a lot of competition right in midfield and attack, he probably won't play much," RKC general director Henry van der Vegt told Brabants Dagblad.

"That's why he may be loaned out for the coming half year, but it is not a necessity."

Van der Velden has played just four Eredivisie games for the Waalwijk club this term, with the Amsterdam-born player having played on loan with Dordrecht last season.
