Dutch side Waalwijk have been dealt a huge blow, after Robert Fuchs was ruled out for the next four weeks.

Fuchs underwent exploratory surgery after feeling pain in his knee ahead of the new season, and it was confirmed that the midfielder would be out of action for a month.

The 30-year-old has been at RKC for nearly four years, after joining from PSV Eindhoven.

Fuchs was a prominent member of the Waalwijk side last season, scoring six goals in 33 appearances.

However, the Dutchman was not missed in RKC's opener against Willem II, with the Waalwijkers claiming a 2-1 away victory.
