Feyenoord snap up Te Vrede

Young striker Mitchell te Vrede has joined Feyenoord on a free transfer from Excelsior, the Eredivisie giants have confirmed. The 20-year-old Dutchman has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the option for another two seasons at the Rotterdam club. Te Vrede has impressed for Feyenoord's sister club Excelsior this season after joining from AZ Alkmaar's youth academy last summer, notching up 19 league appearances. Feyenoord technical director Martin van Geel told the club's official website: "Mitchell is a young striker with great potential. "We see him as a valuable addition to the selection. Our technical staff will be happy to work with him." Several players have previously made the move to Feyenoord from Excelsior, including Miquel Nelom, Guyon Fernandez and Jordy Clasie last summer.
