Mitchell Pique has become Excelsior's first signing after promotion to the Eredivisie.
Dutch side Excelsior have announced their first signing ahead of the club's return to top-flight football next season.The Eerste Divisie champions have signed Mitchell Pique on a Bosman free transfer from Cambuur Leeuwarden.
The 26-year-old has signed a deal with the Eredivisie newcomers until 2008 after spending the last two seasons with Leeuwarden.
Pique has previous experience in the Holland's top division after spells with Ajax, FC Twente and RBC Roosendaal during his eight-year career.
