EXCELSIOR will be without key defender Michel Breuer for at least two months after he underwent surgery to cure an abdominal problem.
The 22-year-old has played 13 games for Excelsior this term, but has been bothered by injury for some time.
The latest problem is not linked with the knee injury he picked up in November, but is serious enough to warrant surgery.
He has been told that it will be at least March before he can consider playing again.
Breuer, who has been at the Woudenstein for five seasons, recently penned a deal that ties him to the club until 2006.
