Willem II Tilburg enjoyed only their second Eredivisie win of the season as Heracles Almelo smashed six past Vitesse Arnhem.

NAC Breda edged a five-goal thriller at home to ADO Den Haag, while Roda JC Kerkrade and De Graafschap shared the points.

Bottom club Willem II savoured just a second success in 25 matches after a stunning comeback secured a 4-3 home triumph over Heerenveen.

The visitors were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to goals inside the opening 25 minutes from Daryl Janmaat and Bas Dost.

However, the hosts drew level through Bart Biemans and Arjan Swinkels before Maceo Rigters' own goal on 73 minutes put Heerenveen back in front.

Jan-Arie van der Heijden equalised again for Willem II on 84 minutes and Rigters atoned for his earlier own goal by scoring the winner with a minute to go.

Heracles pulled away from trouble at the bottom end of the table following a memorable 6-1 home mauling of Vitesse.

Mark Looms opened the scoring for Heracles on 38 minutes and the lead was doubled on 48 minutes through Everton.

Mark-Jan Fledderus increased the advantage just before the hour mark before Vitesse then contributed to the heavy nature of the defeat.

Willie Overtoom converted two penalties before the sixth arrived via an own goal from Guram Kashia, who netted Vitesse's stoppage-time consolation.

ADO Den Haag's bid for European football suffered a dent after they let the lead slip to go down 3-2 away to NAC Breda.

Rob Penders had given NAC a fourth-minute lead, but Den Haag were in front before half-time thanks to Wesley Verhoek and Gabor Horvath's own goal.

The host rallied after the interval as Robbert Schilder equalised on 47 minutes and substitute Csaba Feher netted the winner on 61 minutes after Den Haag's Christian Kum had been sent off.

De Graafschap edged a point further away from danger following a 1-1 draw away to Roda JC Kerkrade.

Morten Skoubo put Roda JC in front on 25 minutes, but De Graafschap levelled matters a minute into the second half through Steve de Ridder.
