RKC pick up Reuser

RKC Waalwijk have swooped to sign Martijn Reuser on a free transfer from Willem II.

RKC Waalwijk have swooped to sign Martijn Reuser on a free transfer from Willem II.

The Tilburgers informed the former Ipswich midfielder that his contract would not be renewed in the summer and this alerted RKC.

The club proposed a two-year contract and he wasted little time in signing on the dotted line and will move in the summer.

RKC are thrilled to have landed such an experienced player on a free transfer.

"Martijn Reuser doesn't only have the ability to score, but is also mentally strong and a footballer who always goes for it," RKC general director Henry van der Vegt told the club's website.

"We are very happy that we have signed him."

RKC, meanwhile, have extended the contracts of Martijn Barto and Nick van der Velden.

The two have climbed through the ranks and are being tipped to make an impact on the first team next season.
