Willem II have received a boost with the news that Frank van Mosselveld has signed a new deal.

The Tilburg club have been left reeling by the recent decisions of a number of players to seek pastures new.

With the likes of Joris Mathijsen, Kew Jaliens and Tarik Sektioui all set to move on in the summer, Willem II were determined to make sure they nipped the exodus in the bud.

Van Mosselveld, 20, is rated highly at the Willem II Stadion, having cemented a regular place in the team with a number of assured displays.

Willem II were determined to keep the youngster at the club and they have been successful as he penned a deal which ties him to the club until 2008 on Tuesday.

"Willem II are looking to build a team the core of which is from our young players," technical manager Gerard Wielaert told the club's website. "Added to this will be some specific purchases to complete the team."
