Eredivisie strugglers RKC Waalwijk claimed just their second win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Sparta Rotterdam on Friday night.

RKC moved off the bottom of the table with the victory at Mandemakers that leaves Sparta stuck in 16th place.

The hosts were given hope of claiming a rare victory when former Ajax man Pius Ikedia scored after 27 minutes.

However Sparta quickly dampened the mood when Jeffrey Vlug replied inside two minutes.

The crowd at Mandemakers had to wait until 85 minutes for the winning goal, with Dustley Mulder securing the victory.
