The 18-year-old forward arrived last year and made 17 appearances, but the club are considering farming him out to increase his knowledge of Dutch football.
Fortuna Sittard have expressed an interested in the young talent, and Vitesse are going to talk over all options before making their next move.
Technical manager Jan Streuer said: "Emile is only a first-year senior and to train with a first-team and play can only be a good learning experience.
"After a talk we will look at what's the best option for him and the club," added Streuer.
Mbamba, who will turn 19 at the end of the month, has yet to figure in the team this term and Vitesse feel a period away from the Gelredome may benefit him.
