NEC Nijmegen edged six points clear of the bottom three in De Eredivisie with a crucial 1-0 home win over RKC Waalwijk.
Arjan Ebbinge (pictured) scored the only goal at De Goffert in the lone Friday evening contest in Holland's top-flight.
In fact, Ebbinge had an eventful night, as he was sent off for two bookable offences in the second half.
The defender was first booked on 62 minutes for unsporting behaviour before referee Roelof Luinge handed Ebbinge a second yellow card and his marching orders seven minutes later.
Despite finishing with ten men, the victory for NEC should help ease their relegation worries while RKC stay in the bottom half of the table following Friday's defeat.
