MACEDONIA striker Georgi Hristov will miss Wednesday's Euro 2004 qualifier against England at the request of his club, NEC Nijmegen.

Hristov has only just returned from injury and NEC do not want their marksman to aggravate any problems.

The striker did feature for Macedonia in Saturday's defeat to Turkey but will not be in the side to face England at Southampton's St Mary's Stadium.

He has suffered with a string of injuries during the past 12 months and underwent two operations on his knee last season.

NEC have also barely been able to call on his services this term after Hristov was injured in Macedonia's opening Euro 2004 qualifier against Liechtenstein at the beginning of September.
