Van Hooijdonk sinks RBC

RBC Roosendaal remain rooted to the foot of the table following a 2-1 home defeat.

RBC Roosendaal remain rooted to the foot of the Eredivisie table following a 2-1 home defeat by NAC Breda.

RBC are without a win all season and got off to the worst possible start when Johann Vonlanthen fired the visitors ahead after 13 minutes.

However, RBC were back on level terms shortly after when Paul de Lange levelled the contest from the penalty spot.

The lead did not last long in the second half with Pierre van Hooijdonk restoring NAC's advantage with a spot-kick shortly after the hour mark.

Any hopes RBC harboured of getting back into the contest evaporated when Arjan Ebbinge was sent off for collecting his second yellow card.
