Barazite strikes to give Young Guns late success

A youthful-looking Arsenal side fought back from a goal down to claim the Herbert Chapman Trophy against Huddersfield on Wednesday. The Gunners were virtually unrecognisable from their Emirates Cup sides at the weekend, although England international Theo Walcott was on show. The match was largely uneventful throughout until The Terriers forged ahead after 75 minutes when James Berrett found the back of the net. Berrett's deflected goal gave the home faithful something to shout about, but it failed to last as Sanchez Watt equalised within minutes. The West Yorkshire friendly was heading to penalties until youngster Nacer Barazite powered a shot past Matt Glennon with just minutes to spare.

Happy

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was pleased with his side's run-out and felt Huddersfield put up a good fight. "It was a very interesting game, a good test for the young players," he told Arsenal TV. "It was a very even game. Huddersfield defended very well, were very organised and good on the counter attack. "We had to be patient. Overall I'm pleased because that's approximately the level the reserve team should play each week."
