Vitesse Arnhem moved closer to the top four after a 2-0 win over struggling Willem II.

Richard Knopper gave Vitesse the lead on 29 minutes for a one-goal lead at the break.

The Gelredome club were then handed a further advantage when Willem II's Frank van der Struijk was sent off for serious foul play on 82 minutes.

A minute later, Igor Gluscevic sealed the points for the home side with a second goal.

Utrecht had to settle for a 2-2 draw at RKC Waalwijk in the other match on Saturday in Holland's top flight.

Former Rangers man Michael Mols and Darl Douglas both scored within two minutes of each other before the break after a Rick Hoogendorp penalty gave RKC the lead on the quarter hour mark.

RKC earned a point when Thomas Vermaelen scored in the second half for the 2-2 score at the Mandemakers Stadion.
