WILLEM II moved into the top half of the table as they dented Utrecht's European ambitions with a convincing 4-2 win on Saturday night.
Stefan Tanghe had given the visitors the lead after just 13 minutes, but Christiaan Janssens drew the sides level in the 32nd minute.
Danny Laanzaart (pictured) fired the home side in front from the penalty spot after 55 minutes and the away side had a mountain to climb when goalkeeper Harald Wapenaar was sent-off for a professional foul.
Tom Caluwe hit his side's third after 71 minutes and Laanzaart wrapped up the points with another successful penalty just three minutes later.
Paulus Roinha pulled one back for Utrecht ten minutes from time but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
Den Bosch climbed clear of trouble at the bottom with an impressive 1-0 win at De Graafschap.
The home side were reduced to ten men after 77 minutes with John Van Den Brom seeing red and three minutes later Bart van den Ede hit the winning goal from the penalty spot.
The visitors were also reduced to ten men in the last three minutes after Peter Uneken's dismissal, but they held on for all three points.
