UTRECHT coach Frans Adelaar appears to be planning for the future by offering two of his most promising players new contracts and recalling another from loan.
Promising defender Etienne Shew-Atjon and striker Donny de Groot have impressed enough for the club to exercise the option to extend their contracts.
Shew-Atjon, 22, and de Groot, who is on loan at Volendam, are now tied to the club until 2005 and 2003 respectively.
Meanwhile, Jordy Zuidam`s efforts for Go Ahead Eagles, where he has been a regular scorer from midfield, has prompted Adelaar to recall him from loan.
The 23-year-old has been with the Eagles since January 2001, but he will now be given the chance to prove himself at Utrecht.
