Glen Salmon has been handed the opportunity to revive his career at NAC Breda.
The forward slipped down the pecking order at Groningen and was informed he could move on in January.
NAC and Willem II came in with loan offers for the South African, but he was initially reticent to head out of Groningen on a temporary basis.
However, after taking some time out to mull over his options, Salmon opted to join NAC on loan until the summer.
Salmon, whose contract with Groningen expires in the summer, is looking to put himself in the shop window in the hope of winning a big move.
