Ex-Newcastle United youngster Brian Pinas has joined Cercle Brugge from Groningen.
Pinas spent two years with The Magpies but failed to make a first-team appearance before returning to Holland in 1999.
The attacker has spent the past two seasons with Groningen and was under contract for another 12 months.
But he has now moved to Belgium after impressing Cercle while on trial last week.
He has inked a three-year deal with the Jupiler League side and will look to fulfil the promise which persuaded Newcastle to sign him from Feyenoord eight years ago.
