Roda JC have reached a verbal agreement with Anderlecht to sign Arnold Kruiswijk on a six-month loan.

Former Groningen centre-back set to make loan return to Holland

Roda JC Kerkrade have confirmed that they have reached a verbal agreement with Anderlecht to sign defender Arnold Kruiswijk on a six-month loan. The Eredivisie side want to use the transfer window to reinforce their squad against injuries and the loss of Ghana international Eric Addo for the African Cup of Nations. Former FC Groningen player Kruiswijk was therefore identified as the ideal man to replace Addo and Anderlecht have given their consent for his temporary departure. The deal for the 25-year-old is still to be completed, but he is on the verge of making the short switch from Belgium to Holland. Roda boss Harm van Veldhoven will welcome the acquisition as he attempts to help the club away from the relegation zone after the winter break.
