Willem II and Heerenveen have expressed interest in signing NEC Nijmegen striker Romano Denneboom.
The forward is being tipped to leave NEC in January and two Eredivisie clubs are hot on his trail.
"I have spoke with Heerenveen before," Denneboom told Omroep Gelderland. "That's something quite strong for me, although I havent spoken to them for a while."
Heerenveen, who had Denneboom on their books earlier in his career, could face rival interest from Willem II.
"We see Romano Denneboom as a potential reinforcement, but we are not alone in this," Willem II chairman Hans Verbunt told Voetbal International.
Kyle Martino (pictured), meanwhile, has left NEC after failing to impress during a recent trial.
The midfielder trained with NEC for the past week but failed to impress coach Mario Been and has headed back to LA Galaxy.
