HEERENVEEN may step up their efforts to add to their Swedish contingent, after midfielder Kim Kallstrom admitted that his career could benefit if he moves to Holland.
The Eredivisie side declared at the end of last month that they were keen to sign the young Hacken ace, and Kallstrom has now claimed that it could aid his development.
Heerenveen already have Marcus Allback and Erik Edman on their books, and 19-year-old Kallstrom would be a useful addition.
Speaking over the weekend, Kallstrom said: "It's true that I'm ready for a move to a better competition. If I were to stay in Sweden, that would be bad for my development as a football player.
"I think it will be wise, like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Johan Elmander and Marcus Allback, to continue my career in the Netherlands," said Kallstrom.
Tottenham and Parma have been credited with interest in the past, but it would seem that Kallstrom is looking to join the expanding contingent of Swedes in the Netherlands.
