Highly-rated Feyenoord defender Stefan de Vrij says it is his ambition to join Spanish giants Barcelona at some point in his career.
The young centre-back, who has been in impressive form for the Eredivisie club this season, has already been linked with a move to Arsenal.
But the 19-year-old Dutchman says he is not keen on a switch to the Premier League, revealing Camp Nou would be his ideal destination.
"It'll be best for my career to move to Spain or Germany when I decide to leave Feyenoord," De Vrij told NUSport.
"Teams from those countries show better build-up play than English teams.
"It's my ultimate dream to eventually join Barcelona. I think I have what it takes to end up at a club like that at some point in my career.
"Obviously you never know what happens, but if I continue to develop like this...why not?"
De Vrij, who can also play at right-back, is contracted in Rotterdam until summer 2012.
The youngster, capped at Under 17 level for his country, has established himself as a key player at Feyenoord under coach Mario Been this season.
