Feyenoord have closed the gap on Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven following a 3-1 success over Willem II.

The visitors led comfortably at the interval thanks to goals from Jonathan de Guzman and Romeo Castelen (pictured).

Patrick Paauwe added the icing on the cake with a third before Willem II netted a consolation late on through substitute Hans Denissen.

Groningen left it late before securing a 1-0 win over Roda JC at Oosterpark Stadion.

The visitors looked like bagging a point before Danny Buijs netted the all-important winner.

RBC Roosendaal remain winless and bottom of the table following a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Utrecht.

Nassir Macchi had the home side ahead, but the game was level when Paul Kpaka equalised nine minutes after half time.

Any thoughts RBC would claim a rare point were quickly extinguished with Joost Broerse making it 2-1.

Macchi's second shortly after put the home side in control before Marc-Antoine Fortune added insult to injury with a fourth.

NEC Nijmegen's clash with Sparta Rotterdam finished scoreless.
