Feyenoord outcast Peter van den Berg has received contract offers from NAC Breda and Vitesse Arnhem.

The defender was informed last week by Kuip boss Ruud Gullit that he had no future in Rotterdam.

Van den Berg expressed disappointment at the news, but his mood has been improved after being approached by NAC and Vitesse.

The 32-year-old is in an enviable position, as he claims he would happily play for either club.

"I live in Den Bosch, so the distance does not matter," said van den Berg. "And both are beautiful clubs."

Both clubs are in the market for an accomplished defender and NAC have money available following the sale of Orlando Engelaar.

Engelaar sealed his move to Genk at the weekend, freeing up funds for coach Ton Lokhoff to strengthen his squad.

The forward signed a four-year deal with Genk, but signed off at NAC in style by scoring in their 3-2 win over Utrecht.
