PSV Eindhoven midfielder Orlando Engelaar will remain with the club after possible deals to England broke down.
The 31-year-old had been a target for Middlesbrough and West Brom but a deal for the Dutch international could not be agreed.
Engelaar is now expected to stay with the club for the forthcoming season.

PSV technical director said: "There were two English clubs interested - Middlesbrough and West Brom.
"There was a possibility they could have signed Orlando and according to his agent there was another foreign side interested, but they never contacted
PSV about his availability.
"So I don't know which club that could have been."
