Feyenoord youngster Luc Castaignos insists he never wanted to go anywhere but Inter Milan after agreeing a deal at the club.
The 18-year-old striker will join the Nerazzurri on a reported four-year deal in the summer after seeing out the rest of the season in the Eredivisie.
And the young Dutchman, who visited Milan this week to complete a medical at Inter, says he cannot wait to link up with his new club, particularly his idol and compatriot Wesley Sneijder.
He told
La Gazzetta dello Sport: "When I walked into the Inter offices on Monday for the first time, you know who was there? Wesley Sneijder, the idol of all the Dutch guys.
"He was there for me, waiting for me. It was crazy, I couldn't believe it. When he had welcomed me I replied, 'Thanks. I just wanted you, Inter Milan'.
"Now I'm focused on Feyenoord, but I cannot wait to get here (to Milan)."
Interest
Castaignos, a youth product at Feyenoord, spurned reported interest from Manchester United and Real Madrid in favour of a move to Inter, who have tracked him since he first appeared in the Dutch league last year.
Asked why he preferred the Serie A giants to any other club, he replied: "Because Inter Milan are the biggest team in the world with fantastic players in which every boy wants to play.
"Because they were the first ones to follow me when I was 17. And because they will always win."
Castaignos' only qualm with his new side is that he feels it is missing one key player, Arsenal striking ace Robin van Persie.
The teenager, who has scored nine goals in 28 Eredivisie appearances, admits he dreams of playing alongside his fellow Dutchman, adding: "I wish I had Robin as a team-mate."
