Moroccan shot-stopper joins Dutch giants on season-long deal

PSV have snapped up former Morocco goalkeeper Khalid Sinouh on a free transfer from FC Utrecht. The 35-year-old, a former Heerenveen, AZ Alkmaar and Hamburg player, joins the Eredivisie giants on a one-year deal. The addition of Sinouh to the Eindhoven squad will give young reserve keeper Jeroen Zoet the chance to go out on loan next season and gain first-team experience. Sinouh, who was Utrecht's reserve keeper, will provide back-up to PSV No.1 and former Manchester City shot-stopper Andreas Isaksson. PSV technical manager Marcel Brands confirmed Sinouh's arrival on Thursday on the club's official website. "Sinouh is an experienced team member," said Brands, who worked with Sinouh at AZ. "I have personally worked with him and know he is also a good keeper, as well as being a stimulating addition to the group." He added: "For Jeroen Zoet next year immediately becomes an important one, as he is under pressure to gain more experience."
