PSV Eindhoven have made a raid on South America by agreeing a deal to sign Brazilian youngster Fagner Coserva Lemos.
The teenager has caught the eye for both the Brazilian Under 20 side and his club Corinthians, with his efforts leading to an offer from PSV.
Fagner has agreed a five-year deal with PSV and will make the move to Eindhoven when he turns 18 in the summer.
The defender helped the Brazilian Under 20 side land the South American Championship last month, a victory which entitles them to participate in the World Cup for their age group as well as the Olympics in China.
PSV have forged close links with Chelsea, but it is not clear if the Premiership champions played a part in striking the deal for Fagner.
Twente are talking to PSV with regard to turning Otman Bakkal's loan move into a permanent arrangement.
PSV have been handed a boost as Ibrahim Afellay returned to training on Tuesday. He damaged a groin during a winter training camp, but is now close to full fitness.
John de Jong is also hopeful of starting training in the near future. He picked up a muscle injury during at La Manga, but is looking to start training soon.
